In less than a year, Disney stock has plummeted nearly 50% because of its political-infused productions supporting homosexuality which turn away audiences and lead to angry fan reactions.

The company’s increased earnings have made Disney stock look attractive at current levels, but the truth is that it is one of those undervalued stocks, down significantly this year.

The stock decline may be due to Disney’s new war with censorship in several countries because its latest animated films include gay scenes and characters, which is contrary to the laws of cinematography in those countries with a Muslim majority and conservative social values.

50% Down

Walt Disney Co is at risk of underperforming when compared to competitors. The company’s stock fell 50% in one year due to its support of gay characters in their films, leading to the reluctance of the audience. Disney might be surprised but fans aren’t as their mishandling of popular brands like Star Wars, Marvel, and Pixar has caused them to shrug off.

YouTube channels have created popular videos revealing the failure of these films, and while there are various conclusions on how they got the ultimate consensus, their story writing has greatly suffered.

Those who pay attention will know that the reason these works have suffered is that “leftist politics has infected everyone from Disney’s brass to their writing staff,” according to Red State.

Market Watch also said that “shares of Walt Disney Co. DIS, -0.71% shed 1.20% to $96.61 Monday, on what proved to be an all-around grim trading session for the stock market, with the S&P 500 Index SPX, -2.01% falling 0.30% to 3,900.11 and Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, -1.56% falling 0.20% to 31,438.26.”

This fall negatively affected a three-day winning series and the company closed “$90.97 short of its 52-week high ($187.58), which the company reached on September 9th,” according to the same source.

Continuous LGBTQ Support

Despite criticism and ban, Walt Disney is still on the way to supporting homosexuality through its famous actors.

Disney Studios are set to release an animated film entitled Strange World, telling the adventures of a group of travelers visiting new worlds, and featuring a gay teen romance.

Strange World was announced at the 2022 Annecy International Animation Film Festival in Annecy, France this month.

At the festival, some of the movie’s details were displayed; the attendees were provided with “a description of the young romance in the film between two male characters, Ethan and Diazo,” Metro Weekly reported.

“The description of the romance was first reported in Variety and explains the context of their relationship with just enough detail to show the movie is gay-themed, without giving too much of the story away,” according to the same source.

Lightyear, also, has bombed in no small part because of a lesbian kiss. What made things worse is when the film’s lead voice actor, Chris Evans, called those who criticized the act “idiots.”

The kiss has pushed more than 12 countries in Asia and the Middle East that criminalize homosexuality to ban the movie from being shot, like  Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, and Lebanon.

Disney has recently released Lightyear, "a prequel" to the most popular Toy Story franchise of the company, which introduced an out lesbian character, presented by Uzo Aduba.

The movie was the first Pixar movie to be on screens since the COVID pandemic started, and it is the first Disney movie to contain a kiss between two persons of the same sex.

Disney has many gay characters, but their sexuality wasn't revealed in previous works.

The character LeFou from Beauty and the Beast, for example, was announced to be gay, in addition to the animated cyclops Officer Spector from Onward, but neither character’s sexuality was shown to the public.

Disney for Kids, Netflix for Adults

The last Egyptian film, Perfect Strangers, has spread controversy a few days after it was shot on Netflix as containing homosexual scenes.

In her interview with Al-Estiklal, Sociologist and University Professor in Arab Civilization, Ghada Brahmi, said the film is “an indirect attempt to spread homosexuality and encourage especially the Arab youth to accept and publicly deal with same-sex relationships in the name of sexual freedom and self-consciousness.”

“As Disney is promoting LGBTQ culture for kids, Netflix is doing the same for adults,” Brahmi added.

The professor pointed to the deliberate role of Disney in spreading homosexuality among children saying the parents do not control what their kids watch saying “it’s just a cartoon.”

“Today, cartoon films and series produced by Disney is a continuation of Netflix policy, presenting gay and lesbian characters in films produced specifically for children, confirming the existence of a global plan for compulsory normalization,” she explained.

Ghada Brahmi said: “The easiest way to spread any anomaly is through drama, and it works. Hollywood, for example, produces no more scenes related to gays’ suffering, there is no longer focus on their problems, considering this step was successfully done.”

Hollywood modern works are now focusing on gays and lesbians living their routine surrounded by friends and families, as if they are already accepted, according to her.

Their presence in business has become very ordinary, and they are treated as no different from the rest of the people. Therefore, Netflix and similar networks are presenting them as ordinary heroes without distinction.
