Cross-Border Crimes: This Is How ‘Israel’ Targets Resistance Leaders Abroad

The crimes of the Israeli Occupation against the Palestinians are of various forms. The last of which was the series of aggression on Gaza and the destruction that left human and material losses. As if the destruction inside Palestine is not enough, the Occupation leaders have vowed to target Palestinians outside the country as well.
The Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz threatened the leadership of the Islamic Jihad movement abroad, saying that the Islamic Jihad leadership living abroad will also pay the price.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced that the death toll from the Israeli attack on the Strip has risen to 44, including 15 children, and 4 women, noting that the death toll from the injured has risen to 360.
Dramatic Losses
Since last Friday afternoon, the Gaza Strip has been subjected to a continuous attack by the Israeli Occupation Forces, as warplanes launched several air raids on separate areas of the Strip, and artillery fired a number of shells targeting Palestinians in residential neighborhoods and agricultural lands.
The Israeli attack resulted in many deaths and injuries, and inflicted material losses on residential buildings, property, and infrastructure.
The office of Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid announced that the ceasefire took effect on August 7 at 23:30, expressing his thanks to Egypt for its efforts that led to this result.
In an interview with Al-
He added: “Concern reinforced by the assessments of Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar during Sunday night's mini-cabinet meeting, when he stressed the need to stop the aggression for fear of making mistakes.”
Flagrant Violations
The Israeli Occupation targeted many resistance leaders living abroad in a flagrant violation of all international laws. For instance, the assassination of the Tunisian aerospace engineer, Mohamed Zouari, who was declared by the al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Hamas movement, to be one of its members and accused "Israel" of assassinating him in December 15, 2016. This was one case of many operations conducted by the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad against Palestinian and Arab leaders in different capitals and countries around the world.
Although "Israel" does not explicitly claim responsibility for many of these operations, it often does not deny that it was committed, while the Palestinians accuse it of carrying out these operations.
Mohamed Zouari is one of its leaders who oversaw the Ababil Aircraft project, a small unmanned aircraft announced by al-Qassam, during the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip in the summer of 2014.
According to the Tunisian Ministry of the Interior, Zouari was assassinated by unknown gunmen in the city of Sfax.
The Hebrew Walla website had accused Zouari of having ties to Hamas and its military wing, the al-Qassam Brigades, and helping it mainly to manufacture unmanned aerial vehicles, which it had announced owning and operating during the last Gaza war in the summer of 2014, and named it Ababil.
The website quoted a close associate of Zouari as saying that the engineer visited Gaza three times through the tunnels to strengthen his relations with Hamas and work to expand its capabilities in the field of drones.
On February 26, 2016, Omar Nayef, a cadre of the Palestinian Front for the Liberation of Palestine was killed in the Palestinian embassy in Bulgaria.
The Front accused "Israel" of assassinating him, while the Palestinian Foreign Ministry announced his death in mysterious circumstances, and President Mahmoud Abbas decided, against this background, to form an investigation committee to uncover the circumstances of his death.
Nayef was arrested by the Israeli army in 1986 on charges of killing an Israeli, and was sentenced to life imprisonment, but he managed to escape from prison in 1990, and settled in Bulgaria.
The Israeli media recently reported that Mossad was behind his assassination, accusing him of plotting to carry out operations against Israelis in the West Bank.
Criminal Record
On January 19, 2010, Mahmoud al-Mabhouh was assassinated in Dubai. He was one of the leaders of Izz el-Din al-Qassam, who was accused by "Israel" of being responsible for the kidnapping and killing of two Israeli soldiers during the first Palestinian Intifada and for smuggling weapons from Iran to the Gaza Strip.fada and for smuggling weapons from Iran to the Gaza Strip.
The Dubai Police in the UAE announced his assassination in his hotel room in Dubai; he was electrocuted and then suffocated in an operation suspected of being orchestrated by "Israel," which at the time provoked an Emirati diplomatic outcry.
The UAE announced that it had opened an investigation into the assassination of al-Mabhouh—the results of which were not announced—while the Dubai police also revealed details related to passports and credit cards of some suspects, who hold European nationalities.
Hamas said at the time that it had launched an investigation in an attempt to reveal how the Israeli Mossad was able to carry out this operation.
Five years after the operation, the Israeli Channel 2 published a short film explaining the details of the assassination of al-Mabhouh, in which it indicated that the Mossad was behind it.
According to the film, the Mossad used a high-tech communications network between the perpetrators, which was based in the Austrian capital, Vienna, and took 22 minutes by injecting al-Mabhouh with a substance that paralyzed him, and then died instantly.
The Israeli account stated that al-Mabhouh was "the first wanted man of the Israeli army," and indicated that the Mossad had tried more than once to assassinate him.
On September 26, 2004, Izz el-Deen Sobhi Khalil, a cadre of the Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas, was killed in a car explosion in Damascus, while the movement's officials blamed "Israel" for his assassination.
A statement by the Syrian Interior Ministry said that a bomb exploded under the driver's seat in his car.
At the time, the Israeli TV Channel 2, quoting security sources, saying that "Israel" was behind the car bombing.
