The Russian newspaper "Lenti.ru" and the Russian Cosmopolitan magazine reported the high death toll of presidents and politicians in several countries due to assassinations and Coronavirus.

According to two articles, 8 heads of state have died since the beginning of 2020 . The deaths among politicians in general have increased in the twenty-first century, as reported by RBC statistics.

In 2018 and 2019, five commanders died or were killed, and four died in between 2016 and 2017.

 

Deaths Of 2021

On the night of July 7, 2021, the 53-year-old President of the Republic of Haiti, Jovenel Moise, who had ruled the country for the past four years, was shot dead.

His killers, who were foreign mercenaries, tortured him and then shot him 12 times. In the same incident, his wife was also wounded, but she survived.

Regarding the death of President Moyes, the attack was by a group of unknown criminals, some of whom spoke Spanish.

26 Colombian mercenaries participated in the massacre of the head of state, 23 of them were arrested, and the rest were killed in the attack. The declaration of mourning was for two weeks.

According to the article, in April 2021, the 68-year-old President of the Republic of Chad, "Idriss Deby", was killed as a result of the fight against terrorism, as he participated in defensive actions against the "rebels".

The deceased is considered one of the most experienced and respected leaders in Central Africa, where he ruled his country for more than 30 years.

The President of the Republic of Tanzania, John Pompei Magufuli, died in March 2021, at the age of 61, after being infected with Coronavirus.

The African leader did not believe in contagion, considered prayer a panacea, rejected closures and other restrictions, and opposed the wearing of masks. Tanzania has not published any statistics on the number of injured.

The president confirmed that Tanzania is free of coronavirus and invited tourists to visit the country.

In February, the president stopped appearing in public, and in March he was transferred to a private hospital in Kenya, and then to a medical center in India.

All this time he was on ventilators, but he could not beat the disease due to heart problems.

In the same period, the President of the Republic of Burundi, Pierre Nkurunziza, 56, died of heart failure.

A few days before his death, he felt unwell and was taken to a clinic in the eastern city of Karuzi. There his condition improved somewhat, but then there was a sharp deterioration, without ambulance efforts helping to save him.

Local media reported that the actual cause of death of the President of the Republic of Burundi was Coronavirus.

The man has ruled the country for the past fifteen years and brutally suppressed any protests.

The Bahraini Prime Minister, "Khalifa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa", and the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Eswatini, "Ambrose Dlamini" also died of Coronavirus.

In addition, two prime ministers of Ivory Coast died within two years.

On July 14, former Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain died at the age of 81.

The politician was battling cancer and was treated in a private hospital for two weeks.

Mamnoon Hussain served as President of Pakistan from 2013 to 2018, and previously served as Governor of Sindh Province.

Hussain was considered an aide to former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, but was convicted in two cases after he went to the United Kingdom.
