Zionists Still Cry Over the 'Kristallnacht' but Invoke It Against the Palestinians Nonetheless
The Zionists still cry over the famous Kristallnacht or the Night of Broken Glass during which the Nazis burned their shops and homes in 1938.
However, they do not hesitate to do the same against the Palestinian people and implement everything they say was done to them in Germany and Europe through a series of continuous crimes.
The last of these crimes, which are similar to what they lament about the crimes of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, is the Israeli barbarians burning of 80 homes and 100 cars of Palestinians in Huwara town, south of Nablus. Israeli writers described the attack as similar to an incident that happened to the Jews in Germany in 1938.
On February 26, Huwara and a number of villages in Nablus witnessed unprecedented attacks by Israeli settlers, leading to the death of a Palestinian, dozens of injuries, and the burning and destruction of dozens of Palestinian homes and cars, after two settlers were killed in a shooting.
The Israeli authorities did not announce the arrest or prosecution of the settlers responsible for the attacks in the Palestinian towns.
Between the 9th and 10th of November 1938, German police and security forces incited the Nazis to carry out actions against Jews wherever they were in Germany, so the Germans attacked, destroyed, and burned their synagogues, shops, and stores.
This night was known as “Kristallnacht” or the Night of Broken Glass, a pogrom against Jews carried out by the Nazi Party’s Sturmabteilung (SA) paramilitary and Schutzstaffel (SS) paramilitary forces along with some participation from the Hitler Youth and German civilians throughout Nazi Germany on 9–10 November 1938.
Many activists and writers have compared what barbarian settlers did to Palestinians to their complaints about what Germans and Hitler did to Jews.

Return of the Nazis
Israeli analyst, Yossi Melman, described on Twitter what happened in Huwara by Jewish settlers as “an Israeli Night of Broken Glass that reminds us of what Hitler did to the Jews.”
He said: “If this far-right government had an inch of humanity and a micron of the morals of the Jewish prophets, it would immediately repair the damage done by the settlers and their youth.”

On February 27, 2023, Nahum Barnea, a political analyst in Yedioth Ahronoth, described the settler attacks in Huwara as Kristallnacht, referring to the Nazi attack on the Jews in 1938.
He explained that the Israeli army did not arrest any of the criminals who burned the village because the settlers “know that the hands of the security forces are tied.” Barnea referred to Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir as responsible for what happened that night.
Bezalel Smotrich, the government’s minister in the Defense Ministry in charge of civilian affairs, was almost entirely silent through the night when Huwara was under attack.
“He took to Twitter long after the attack was already underway, at 10:25 p.m., but offered no condemnation. Instead, he expressed understanding for the ‘great pain’ caused by the deadly terror attack that morning, called on the mob ‘not to take the law into your own hands,’ and promised that the government would send ‘a real response to the terror, both military and settlement,’” according to The Times of Israel.

As Israeli crimes are escalating in Huwara, Israeli journalists described what happened as similar to what Hitler did. Israeli President Isaac Herzog was also forced to condemn the “brutal and violent rampage” in Huwara, according to The Times of Israel.
He said in a statement on February 27, 2023, a day after settlers burned homes in Huwara in the West Bank, that he “strongly condemns the brutal and violent attack.”
“This is not our way, it is criminal violence against innocent people, it harms the State of Israel, and most of all it harms us as a moral society and a legitimate state.”
Palestinian leaders from the territories occupied in 1948 also said that the scenes of flames burning homes and cars reminded them of the Kristallnacht against the Jews in Germany in 1938 and how the Zionists committed the same crimes against the Palestinians.
The head of the Supreme Follow-up Committee, Mohammad Barakeh, confirmed that the horrific scenes, the burning of homes, the burning of property, and the killings in Huwara, Za’tara, and other parts of the West Bank and Jerusalem, “recall us of the crimes of the fascists and Nazis, and of the Night of Broken Glass of November 9, 1938 in Germany.”
In a Facebook post, he held the Israeli Occupation government responsible for the attacks, bloodshed, and deterioration of the security situation inside the occupied West Bank.
On February 27, he said: “The Israeli settlers are the arm of the Israeli Occupation government, which is fully responsible for the crimes.”
The U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum website recounts the details of what happened on Kristallnacht against the Jews in Europe, noting that on the night of November 9, 1938, violent demonstrations against them erupted throughout Germany, Austria, and Czechoslovakia.
Nazi officials described the riots as justified reactions to the assassination of German foreign official Ernst vom Rath, who was shot by a Polish Jew over his family’s deportation from Germany.
What the Zionists did in Huwara was the same when they justified their crimes by killing two settlers, one of whom was an Israeli soldier, even though the killing took place in retaliation for the Israeli Occupation killing of 11 Palestinians in Nablus.
“Over the next 48 hours, violent mobs, spurred by antisemitic exhortations from Nazi officials, destroyed hundreds of synagogues, burning or desecrating Jewish religious artifacts along the way. Acting on orders from Gestapo headquarters, police officers and firefighters did nothing to prevent the destruction. All told, approximately 7,500 Jewish-owned businesses, homes, and schools were plundered, and 91 Jews were murdered. An additional 30,000 Jewish men were arrested and sent to concentration camps,” according to the Holocaust Memorial Museum website.
The Nazis called what happened Kristallnacht or the Night of Broken Glass, referring to the thousands of shattered windows that littered the streets afterward.
Conflict Resolution
The Palestinian researcher, Saleh al-Naami, looked at the escalating Zionist attacks from a deeper perspective, pointing out that the atrocities committed by the Jews in Huwara are an indication that “the Jewish religious right, which dominates the government, is serious about implementing the strategy of resolving the conflict.”
He made it clear that the support provided by Zionist deputies and ministers to the perpetrators of the attack proved that.
He also indicated that the Palestinians must prepare for the coming year, as 2023 will be decisive in the conflict with the Zionists, according to his estimate.
He stressed that the atrocities carried out by the Jewish terrorists in Huwara “are not a revenge for the killing of a Palestinian settler, but rather the operation was used to achieve the vision of the displacement of the Palestinians, which is being promoted by parties in the government.”
Those who carried out the atrocities in Huwara were members of the terrorist organization the Hilltop Youth, formed in 1998 by Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, and right-wing Jewish Power Party (Otzma Yehudit), led by National Security Minister Ben-Gvir.
These madmen have imbibed the doctrine of “salvation,” which is based on the fact that the descent of the expected savior depends on the outbreak of the Gog and Magog war, which is driven by such atrocities, according to al-Naami.

This was confirmed by Ben-Gvir when he said: “We are in a state of war. This is not yesterday’s war, and it is not a war that will end in one day, but it is a war that should inspire us all to adopt a real policy of war on terrorism.”
‘Coordinated’ Attacks
The people of Huwara did not just talk about a bloody “night” that reminded them of the stories of the Nakba in which the Palestinians were displaced in 1984, but referred to a larger catastrophe represented in the silence of the Ramallah authority and the Arab regimes normalizing relations with “Israel.”
They said that what happened was a joint attack between hordes of young extremist Zionist movements loyal to the ministers of the Zionist movement (Ben-Gvir and Smotrich), along with the Israeli Occupation soldiers who supported them, then they claimed that the police lost control.
They told stories about the full cooperation between the Israeli Occupation forces and the official police with the herds of settlers from the religious Zionist movement, and how they sat together eating after they wreaked havoc; there was no difference between a settler and a policeman.

A video showed settlers wearing military uniforms during the attack, which took place under the protection of the Israeli Occupation soldiers, confirming the settlers’ transformation into another military device in the war against the Palestinians.
A large percentage of the settlers who join combat units are in compulsory service in the Israeli army, so it was natural for them to appear next to their fellow soldiers, working together to prepare for the burning of the village.
An Israeli television investigation showed many of them participated in terrorist operations against the Palestinians, according to what the Ultra Palestine website said on February 27, 2023.
Therefore, the people of Huwara described what happened to them as an extension of the crimes of the terrorist Zionist gangs Haganah, Irgun, Beitar, Stern, and Palmach, which killed, destroyed, and practiced ethnic cleansing against all that is Palestinian since 1948, stressing that the series of bloodshed, killing, and burning won’t stop.
