Kim Jong Un; the Ruler Whose Pictures Befuddled North Koreans!

North Korea has released a video of one of its citizens expressing concern about leader Kim Jong Un's weight loss.
The health of the North Korean leader is usually considered an undisputed issue in this country, and his image is conveyed strictly by state media.
The country's main TV channel broadcast a video clip in which leader Kim appears to be skinnier than he has been in recent years.
Mysteriously Skinnier
North Korea was one of the most isolated nations on the planet even before the coronavirus pandemic led dictator Kim Jong Un to shut its borders more than a year and a half ago.
The Kim regime has claimed ever since then that its drastic measures have successfully kept COVID-19 out of North Korea, but while first-hand information from inside the "Hermit Kingdom" is virtually non-existent, even Kim appeared to acknowledge this week that his country is struggling.
The ruler's own dramatic, unexplained weight loss, meanwhile, has renewed speculation that he could be struggling personally with health issues.
Kim publicly berated senior officials within his regime earlier this week for failing to secure the country from COVID-19, accusing the unnamed individuals of, "creating a great crisis in ensuring the security of the state and safety of the people," which he said had resulted in unspecified "grave consequences."
Kim's Family
North Korea has been ruled by one of the world's longest-running dynastic dictatorships. Three generations of the Kim family have ruled with absolute authority, using heavy repression and a system of patronage that ensures support from the elites and the military.
The latest supreme leader, 37-year-old Kim Jong Un, appears to have deftly handled his early years at the top through reshuffling party and military structures and accelerating a buildup of nuclear and missile capabilities. As North Korea seeks to grow its economy and open up to the outside world, experts say Kim's relationship with elites could be tested and will be crucial to the regime's survival.
Like Father Like Son
Kim Jong Un was born on January 8, 1982. He is a North Korean politician who has been the Supreme Leader of North Korea since 2011 and the leader of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) since 2012. After Kim Jong Il's 2011 death, his son Kim Jong Un took over. Given his extensive experience with the West, many thought he would be more willing to open North Korea up to Western culture and ideas.
Others thought he might abandon the country's nuclear program and turn North Korea into a Chinese-model economy.
Instead, Kim Jong Un developed a nuclear missile capable of reaching the United States. He also consolidated his power by executing rivals. Kim even told Trump about how he executed his own uncle and displayed the body. It's now believed that Kim Jong Un is empowering his sister Kim Yo Jong to do the dirty work, while he works on becoming more of a world leader.
Some people say that his father was a superhuman who they say was never defeated. King Jong Un is similar to his dictator father and is said to be quite unpredictable.
Most people opt for plastic surgery to correct some face imperfection to enhance the features of their faces but Kim Jong-Un, at the age of 27, went for plastic surgery. He has gone under the knife to look more like his father and grandfather.
The Craziest and Most Outrageous Kim Jong
Kim Jong-Un attended school with a different name. He was not a brilliant student and couldn't perform well in academics. He never passed any exams and was in absolute fascination with basketball and computer games which he still possesses. This situation got worse and his father had to pull him out of the International School of Berne and get him an admission in a state school where he was put in a low-tier grade.
Even his date of birth is mysterious. Kim Jong-Un was born on January 8, 1982 but it is not the correct date of birth. It is said that this young leader wants to look much older and mature so his official date of birth is 1982. But according to South Korean intelligence claims King Jong-un was born 2 years later. Apparently, still is the youngest leader in the world.
When his father passed away, he made sure that his death is grieved by every North Korean.
At the time of his father’s death, everyone cried hysterically and those who didn’t know how to cry were taught to do so by the spokesmodels. Apparently, those who didn’t go to the event were reportedly being sentenced to labour camps for six months.
Despite his outrageous escapades, Kim is ultra-sensitive about his image and has no sense of humor. He was particularly steamed in 2014 when Sony Pictures announced “The Interview,” a comedy flick that poked fun at the plump dictator. Seth Rogen and James Franco portrayed two TV news personalities enlisted by the CIA to assassinate Kim. He was not amused and is believed to have ordered a subsequent cyberattack targeting Sony, which backed down and never released the film. North Korean strongman Kim Jong Un may be a nuclear-armed despot who torments his people, but he’s also one of the most bizarre leaders in the world.
