The most alarming revelation uncovered during Iran’s sweeping search for spy networks—networks that enabled “Israel” to assassinate a significant number of its senior officials and scientists—was the extent of foreign involvement, particularly the presence of Hindu Indians operating alongside Iranian collaborators.

“Israel’s” June 13, 2025 aggression against Iran was far more than just an air assault; it was a signal.

It tore back the curtain on one of the most intricately woven intelligence webs of the past 25 years — a sprawling espionage network, a modern-day fifth column, crafted deep within the shadows.

According to revelations attributed to “Israel’s” Mossad, the network had been built quietly and patiently—an operation years in the making.

It relied on Indian diaspora communities scattered across the Gulf as a kind of Trojan horse, enabling deep infiltration into the region’s most sensitive technical, military, and even nuclear infrastructures.

This Indian-led espionage operation in Iran, reportedly orchestrated by Mossad through close intelligence cooperation between the two countries, has sparked serious concerns about the possible existence of similar Indian-Israeli spy networks embedded across other Gulf states.

Secret Network

Tejasswi Prakash, a prominent human rights advocate and former member of India’s once-ruling Congress Party, claimed that 73 Indian nationals had been arrested in Iran on espionage charges, allegedly for spying on behalf of “Israel.”

She accused the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government of tacit complicity.

“News reports suggest that Iran has detained 73 Indian citizens for allegedly spying for Israel. If true, this is a deeply troubling development that raises serious questions about the direction of our foreign policy and intelligence operations,” she wrote.

“Why are Indian nationals being drawn into proxy conflicts between Israel and its rivals?” she asked. “Is the Modi government risking Indian lives to serve foreign interests?”

The Indian Human Rights Observatory confirmed that Iran had expelled Indian diplomats from its territory following the arrest of 19 Indian nationals accused of spying for Israeli Intelligence.

The expulsions mark a sharp escalation in the unfolding espionage scandal, further straining ties between Tehran and New Delhi amid growing scrutiny of covert collaborations in the region.

Iran has announced the arrest and execution of several individuals accused of spying for “Israel”—among them Indian nationals—the latest of whom was executed on June 23, 2025, according to Mizan Online News Agency.

CNN reported on June 17, 2025, that Iranian authorities had detained dozens on suspicion of collaborating with Mossad, Israel’s Intelligence agency.

The report detailed the arrest of 28 individuals in the capital, all charged with espionage, and a further 60 suspects detained in the city of Isfahan.

“The wave of arrests comes as Tehran reels from the revelation that Mossad operatives smuggled weapons into Iran before Israel’s unprecedented attack and used them to target the country from within,” according to CNN.

In response, Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence called on the public to report any suspicious activity and issued guidelines on how to identify potential collaborators.

Noor News, a state outlet with close ties to Iran’s security services, published a poster urging citizens to be vigilant of individuals wearing “masks, hats, and sunglasses—especially at night”—warning that such disguises could be used to conceal identities.

The alert followed the release of a video by “Israel’s” Mossad showing its agents smuggling weapons into Iran, in apparent preparation for coordinated strikes inside the country.

Israeli officials claimed that their agents had established a base within Iran for launching explosives-laden drones, which were then used to strike missile launch platforms near Tehran.

In a televised statement, Iran’s police chief, Ahmad Reza Radan, urged so-called “traitors” to surrender, stating that those who realized they had been “deceived by the enemy” might be shown leniency and even “honored” by the state.

As for those captured, he warned, they would “learn a lesson the Zionist enemy is now delivering.”

Iran’s judiciary chief, Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Eje'i, has called for the swift punishment of those accused of collaborating with “Israel.”

The Israeli aggression against Iran, however, pulled back the curtain on a covert network decades in the making—25 years of quiet cooperation between India’s intelligence agency, RAW, and “Israel’s” Mossad.

At the heart of this network are tech workers, most of them Indian nationals, thousands of whom are spread across Iran and the wider Gulf region.

Their jobs—particularly in construction and technical sectors—have granted them access to sensitive infrastructure, allowing them to quietly gather intelligence from within.

A long post by Thomas Keith—a prominent X account focused on Iranian affairs and named after a British soldier—claimed that India’s Intelligence agency was the true architect behind the deep infiltration inside Iran.

Keith alleged that the Indian-Israeli espionage network stretches across millions of Indian expatriates living in Iran, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, many of whom are embedded in critical sectors such as telecommunications, banking, airports, and seaports.

Major firms like TCS, Wipro, and L&T, he wrote, play a key role in sustaining this covert apparatus from behind the scenes, keeping the network functional under the guise of technical services.

The account explained that the network’s primary goal is to gather intelligence and maintain control over critical infrastructure points within Gulf states—doing so discreetly to avoid detection or suspicion.

He asserted that the recent Israeli airstrike exposed the hidden infrastructure meticulously built by India’s RAW intelligence agency in coordination with “Israel’s” Mossad inside Iran.

Notably, following the outbreak of hostilities and the arrest of several suspected spies, New Delhi evacuated 10,700 Indian nationals from Tehran—implicitly underscoring the scale of involvement by this so-called fifth column from a country allied with “Israel.”

This came despite attempts by Indian media and intelligence outlets to deny any espionage activities among the evacuees, according to Indian press reports.

Indian-Israeli Alliance

Since the Kargil conflict between India and Pakistan in Kashmir in 1999, the alliance between New Delhi and “Tel Aviv” has solidified, through urgent Israeli support for the Indian Air Force—including ELTA surveillance aircraft and Python missiles delivered within 48 hours.

According to Thomas Keith’s account, which exposed India’s role in the aggression against Iran, this partnership evolved into a strategic doctrine following the 2008 Mumbai attacks, with Mossad scripting operational scenarios.

India’s Intelligence Agency then provided human access within the vast Indian diaspora across the Gulf, targeting key objectives for espionage and intelligence gathering, relaying critical data back to handlers.

The poster, believed by some activists to be a former British soldier with intelligence experience—or possibly a pseudonymous account linked to Pakistani Intelligence—did not limit his revelations to the Indian fifth column’s role in the Iran strikes and its future threat in the Gulf.

He also exposed the commercial cover behind the Indian espionage network, highlighting major tech firms such as TCS embedded within the infrastructure of Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company Du (UAE), and Wipro managing systems for Emirates NBD bank.

Additionally, Larsen & Toubro was named for installing Israeli EL/M-2084 radar systems on Gulf towers, while Tech Mahindra was accused of deploying legal surveillance tools in Bahrain, alongside servers linked to “Israel’s” Pegasus spyware program.

Alongside this, the mobile device management (MDM) platform at a Dubai hotel—operated by Indian staff—was reportedly the last to trigger critical actions, according to the poster.

He added that the network’s facade is now beginning to crumble, with Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence (MOIS) arresting South Asian individuals, including Indians.

The Israeli and Indian intelligence agencies have exploited this covert espionage network, which has operated in the shadows for 25 years, marking an unprecedented level of cooperation between India’s RAW and “Israel’s” Mossad.

The international intelligence network has exploited millions of Indian workers across the Gulf to infiltrate strategic sectors, effectively turning them into covert intelligence operatives operating under the radar.

These individuals are heavily embedded in banks, airports, telecom companies, and ports, gradually facilitating the transfer of sensitive information.

This means that Mossad and RAW have gained control over critical infrastructure tools that could be used, if needed, to disrupt communication networks, airports, or even influence financial systems without firing a single shot—effects that became evident during the initial Israeli aggression on Iran.

The Israeli aggression against Iran has also shed light on a covert intelligence war conducted through Indian and non-Indian operatives, who executed an unprecedented infiltration on behalf of Mossad and Indian intelligence.

As stories of Indian collusion with “Israel” to target Iran and the subsequent arrests of spies have spread across Iranian and Pakistani social media, Indian platforms have sought to deny these claims.

One such effort came from the Digital Forensics, Research, and Analytics Center (DFRAC), which on June 18, 2025, dismissed allegations of Indian arrests in Iran on Mossad espionage charges as baseless, citing Tehran’s reluctance to publicly disclose the nationality of foreign spies involved.

The website also denied reports of multiple Indians being arrested in Iran on charges of spying for Mossad, including claims of 73 arrests circulated by Indian media, despite Tehran’s official confirmations to the contrary.

Meanwhile, The Times of Israel reported on June 25, 2025, that during the 12 days of aggression against Iran, Iran detained more than 700 spies accused of ties to “Israel,” following a ceasefire that ended nearly two weeks of war.

According to DFRAC, “Since the beginning of the Israeli aggression against Iran, the spy network affiliated with the Zionist regime has been extremely active inside the country.”

“The report stated that it had arrested and even executed a spy but it did not mention any of the spy being an Indian.”

Kurdpa reported that some individuals were executed on June 25, including Idris Ali, Azad Shojaei, and Rasoul Ahmad Rasoul, stating they had smuggled equipment used in the killing of an unnamed target.

According to Reuters, “Iran executed three men on Wednesday, after they were convicted of collaborating with Israel's Mossad spy agency and smuggling equipment used in an assassination, the judiciary's Mizan news agency reported.”

“The equipment they smuggled was used in the assassination of one unnamed personality, Mizan reported, without giving further details.”

Iran has also executed several individuals convicted of spying for Mossad and facilitating its operations within the country, with accusations ranging from assassinating nuclear scientists to involvement in sabotage aimed at undermining Iran’s nuclear program.

An Indian news site acknowledged that Iran has indeed arrested spies but noted that none has been officially identified as Indian, and the identities of these spies remain undisclosed.

Additionally, on June 20, the public prosecutor’s office in Iran’s Khuzestan province announced the arrest of 54 people accused of espionage and sabotage activities linked to the Israeli Intelligence Agency Mossad.

DFRAC, citing the public prosecutor’s office, reported that the individuals were involved in supporting and gathering intelligence for the enemy, spreading propaganda against Iran, as well as disseminating lies and rumors aimed at damaging the country’s internal security and disrupting the community’s psychological stability.

The investigation revealed that Mossad successfully recruited large numbers of Indian and Afghan refugees to work in service of “Israel.”

According to a Russian expert on Afghan affairs Andrey Serenko, much of Mossad’s operational infrastructure across Iran relies on Indian and Afghan nationals.

He added that Iran may begin mass deportations of Afghan and Indian refugees once the war concludes.

Secret War

On June 18, 2025, the Financial Times published a report on “Israel’s secret war inside Iran,” implicitly referencing the role of spies without specifying their nationalities.

“When you work for so many years, investing everything you have — human intelligence, open source intelligence, money — you eventually get an outcome like this,” they said.

“Last year, an Israeli telecoms executive working in Europe had a call from an old friend back in Tel Aviv: could he help design a phone that looked like a cheap Android but could transmit encrypted data that mimicked social media traffic?”

According to Financial Times, “Around the same time, a reservist working at an Israeli health start-up got a call from Unit 9900, a tiny part of the Israeli military that seeks clues in vast data sets. Could he tweak an algorithm he had worked on during his military service, so a dedicated server could sift through satellite images of fuel trucks and separate those carrying petrol from those with missile propellant?”

“How Israel’s security services pulled off parallel operations combining the work of its military intelligence arm Aman, with the foreign spy service Mossad into such an effective aggression may never fully become public.”

“But early hints are trickling out — some from authorized leaks aiming to embarrass Iran, others from people familiar with the operations speaking to the Financial Times on the condition of anonymity.”

“They describe a sprawling, multiyear operation that leaned on every possible asset from which Israeli intelligence could draw — commercial satellites, hacked phones, deep-cover agents recruited locally, covert warehouses to assemble drones and even miniaturized weapons systems fitted into everyday vehicles.”

“The goal, the people said, was to create a densely populated bank of targets to take out in the first hours of a military operation. One called it the Israeli version of ‘shock and awe’; another said it aimed to embrace the ‘audacious’.”

“In the run-up to the aggression, Aman identified so-called centers of gravity to focus on, such as firepower hubs and the nuclear program. It cross-referenced thousands of intelligence sources, and by March of this year, had started to populate the target bank,” Financial Times concluded.
