The Gaza Strip is witnessing a bloody escalation characterized by continuous attacks carried out by Israeli occupation forces against the internal security apparatus, primarily the police.

Continued Israeli targeting of Gaza police since the October 2025 ceasefire has impacted internal security and daily life and prompted competing efforts and proposals to fill the resulting security vacuum.

“Israel’s” closure of Gaza’s crossings amid the U.S.-Iran-Israel conflict has plunged the already war-torn enclave into severe shortages, disrupting aid, fueling a humanitarian crisis, and sidelining its political and economic future.

The UAE's role has recently extended to supporting militias loyal to “Israel” within the Gaza Strip, as well as establishing a project to confine the Strip's residents to areas under Israeli control and occupation.

The US president unveiled the board of peace as part of the second phase of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, signed by both parties in October 2025.
