The newspaper "Gazeta.Ru” published an article by the writer Samer Mustafa highlighting the "strong attack" of Israeli aircraft on Syrian territory, which was carried out by three missiles aimed at military installations in the Area of The Disc of The Nafl in the occupied Golan.

In his article, Mustafa also addressed the Israeli-Syrian conflict over Iran's intervention in southern Syria since the outbreak of the popular revolution in 2011.

Rocket Strike

"The Israeli army fired rockets at a military installation in the Area of The Disc of The Nafl in The Syrian Governorate of Quneitra," the author quoted Syrian military sources as saying at the beginning of his article.

The source, who told the Russian news agency that a rocket strike was carried out on the headquarters of the 90th Brigade of the Syrian regime forces, located in the eastern part of Quneitra province.

According to the Russian newspaper, "Israel used three rockets attacking a military installation in the Area of The Disc of The Nafl (west of the Khader settlement in Quneitra governorate)."

"There were no wounded or killed among the military," he said, adding that earlier, the Syrian regime's army used Russian air defense systems specifically designed to repel rocket attacks by Israeli fighter jets on July 19, 2021.

Admiral Vadim Collett, vice president of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Hostile Parties in Syria, confirmed that four Israeli F-16 fighter jets entered Syrian airspace through the U.S. Air Force-controlled Al-Tanf area and fired eight guided missiles at specific targets southeast of Aleppo city, he said.

Syria is currently experiencing numerous conflicts and in various areas, in the de-escalation zone of Idlib city, 24 attacks were recorded from Jabhat al-Nusra positions (including 20 attacks according to the Syrian side).

The admiral said in a press interview that 13 attacks were recorded in Idlib province, eight in Latakia province and three in Hama province.

Earlier, the Russian News Agency reported that "armed groups have become clearly active in Syrian territory controlled by the Western coalition."

"The attack has not yet been announced in the Syrian state media, and the Israeli authorities do not comment on this information either," said Samer Mustafa, There has been no information on the extent of the losses so far."

Beginning of the Conflict

Several reports on the Syrian-Israeli conflict and Israel's occasional raids on Syria south of Damascus.

Since the outbreak of the revolution in Syria in 2011, the situation in Syria has changed and has become the scene of regional and international clashes.

The state system under Bashar al-Assad became weak, and the country worsened after its destruction, while it was one of the regional and international powers, a reality that posed new challenges to Tel Aviv.

According to the opposition Syria TV website on December 10, 2020, Israel initially ruled out the option of intervening in the Syrian crisis, although it had an opportunity to participate politically in getting rid of a regime that Tel Aviv considers one of the pillars of the "axis of evil."

The decision not to intervene was clear and explicit from the outset, and in some way refers to Tel Aviv's satisfaction with the pre-2011 reality, which has been stable and calm on the front lines for four decades.

Although Israel has not participated in the international political process to resolve the Syrian crisis, it has hosted only one conference to discuss the situation in Syria.

The Jerusalem Conference, which brought together national security advisers for the United States, Russia, and Israel, came out with a broad title, "Accepting Assad in exchange for Iran's exit from Syria."

According to the website's report, Israel threatened Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's regime with the same condition, and in May 2018 personally threatened him by Israeli Energy Minister Yuval Steinitz, saying, "If Assad allows Iran to respond from Syria, it will be the end."

The report noted that Israel did not discuss Assad's fate or demand his departure, as most of its allies from Western countries did, because he killed his people, and when it discussed his fate and threatened him, it was a matter of negotiations, which was the result of its war against Iran and to prevent Tehran from establishing Hezbollah Suri.

According to the Syrian opposition website, Israel's interference in Syrian affairs is due only to its war with Iran, so the prospects for Israel's intervention in Syrian affairs remain wide open as the complex Syrian crisis continues, both toward escalation and dislocation.

This is because the Israeli goal has not yet been achieved in removing the Iranian foot and preventing it from approaching its borders despite the intensity of the strikes.

This comes especially after Tel Aviv's disappointment with Russia in not actively participating in Iran's expulsion from southern Syria.
