Many announced the death of feminist organizations immediately after the American Hollywood star Johnny Depp’s victory in his legal battle against his ex-wife, the famous actress Amber Heard, who tarnished his reputation in an article claiming that she was a victim of domestic violence.

The blow to these organizations came from several sides, which were revealed by hearings in the Virginia court, regarding the details of Depp and Heard's marriage.

In early June 2022, the US jury decided, six weeks after the trial, to announce the outcome of the case in Johnny's favor.

Johnny's Victory

The world witnessed a trial similar to a short film between Johnny and Amber, whose events take place in the corridors of the court, in which the ex-wife appeared as a liar, a feigner, and an anomaly at the same time, and the audience discovered the deception of her eyes and her fake crying.

While Heard alleged domestic violence, abuse, and rape by Depp, Depp presented evidence that clearly revealed that he had been abused by her.

On June 1, 2022, the US jury issued a verdict convicting actress Amber Heard of defaming her ex-husband, Johnny Depp, by promoting allegations that he assaulted her.

Amber met Johnny in 2011 while filming The Ram Diary and they married in February 2015, before they separated in 2017.

The jury decided that Depp, 58, who denied abusing Heard, would receive $15 million in compensation, while Heard, 36, who won one of three lawsuits against Depp, would receive $2 million in compensation.

On December 18, 2018, Amber Heard published an article in The Washington Post, in which she alleged that she had been subjected to domestic violence, but she did not explicitly mention the name of her ex-husband, but the article came after the divorce between them.

Johnny Depp had previously sued his ex-wife, demanding $50 million in compensation, due to the defamation that greatly damaged his work as an international actor, which led to him losing his role in both the Pirates of the Caribbean and Fantastic Beasts series after the publication of that article.

He was also targeted by defamation campaigns from international newspapers, such as The Sun, which called him a wife-beater.

A Blow to Feminism

The drama created by the court and eagerly watched by the world did not stop at its judicial dimension, because what happened between them is similar to what happens with married couples in general.

Rather, the trial exposed the feminist organizations, which stood unfairly with Amber, prejudged her grievances, and held her husband responsible for violating her simply because she was a woman.

Some feminist organizations have defended Amber since her divorce in 2017, and some feminist activists have gone on to defend her as well.

At the trial, these organizations advocated Amber against her ex-husband without evidence, but only to defame and demonize Johnny and make him a platform to attack men in general.

The first result of the defamation of Johnny before the verdict was issued, was that Disney withdrew the lead role of Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean from Johnny Depp, which is one of the high-grossing family films.

At the time, Christian Carino, Depp's former business manager, on April 28, 2022, attributed Disney's move to the domestic violence charges brought against him by his ex-wife.

But after Depp's victory over his ex-wife, a former Disney executive suggested he be called in to reprise the role of Captain Sparrow, according to People magazine.

During the trial, Christian Carino, who took over the management of the couple's business for a while, on April 27, 2022, offered an exciting glimpse of Amber's life during her relationship with the president of Tesla, the Canadian American billionaire Elon Musk after her divorce from Johnny Depp.

Carino read to the jury a set of messages he exchanged with the actress in 2017 when he was among her confidants.

In one of the messages, Heard spoke about her separation from Musk, writing, “I get upset when things get public, I'm so sad.”

The manager replied, “You never loved him, and you told me a thousand times that you were in a relationship just to fill the vacuum that Johnny left in your life.”

“I know that, but I needed time to regain my strength,” Heard replied.

However, Carino replied, “You could have avoided it by stopping dating very famous men.”

Hot Points

Johnny-Amber’s trial gave many people in the world the opportunity to reconsider their accounts of the feminist movement, and the ideas it adopted foreign to conservative societies, especially their acceptance of homosexuality and the defense of its owners.

Especially that feminist organizations are working to penetrate into societies governed by morals and innate societal standards that differ from the open-minded Western vision of women's freedom.

Feminism is a set of social and political movements and ideologies that aim to define and establish political, economic, personal, and social equality between the sexes.

Feminism adopts a position that societies give priority to males, and that women are treated unfairly in these societies.

Therefore, it is working to try to change that, fight gender stereotypes (man-woman), and create equal educational, professional, and personal opportunities and outcomes.

It is noteworthy that several feminists were before the start of Johnny-Amber’s trial using social media to promote the oppression of women, and that no matter what she did, she was a victim, and no matter how true the man was, he was a liar in their eyes, but they were absent from commenting after that.

That is why Ahmed al-Saleh went on to say on his personal Facebook page: “Amber's trial of Johnny Depp was a trial for all feminism, but rather a trial for women.”

“The court has declared that the world today considers a woman, whenever she confronts a man, she is the victim. A victim only because she is a woman. I don't know how they convinced the world today that women are angels and men are ogres. This idea would have been more believable if it had been in ancient times,” al-Saleh said.

He continued, “Nevertheless, the world did not grant innocence to women because they are female only, but because corruption is related to the soul and not to the muscles. As for today, this idea is farther from reality, as the standards of force today have changed, and force has become the law.”

“The Amber trial will remain a source for psychologists and sociologists who specialize in relations and in studying the intellectual trends of societies around the sexes,” al-Saleh added.

He concluded by saying: “Some feminist organizations and feminists will try to denounce what Amber did, to portray that she did it as an isolated act and that they are not, and to stifle the discussion on this subject, because it will greatly change the societal orientation, and it will be the slap that awakens many semi-men from their slumber.”

Crocodile Tears

What undermines the fact that feminist organizations have previously supported Amber's grievances without audio evidence, conversations, messages, or facts condemning them, is the presence of young lawyer Camille Diaz-Vazquez in the defense team of actor Johnny.

She seemed to have a wide culture and a deep understanding of American law, in addition to her eloquence in presenting and refuting arguments.

Vasquez was able to substantiate Heard's claim during previous press interviews that she had donated the $7 million divorce settlement to charities.

This is in addition to the 37-year-old Vasquez refuting the contradictions in Amber's allegations, about Johnny's abuse of her.

One of the most influential conclusions of that trial was a blow to Western feminism, especially in the possibility of revisions to the nature of her work, and that blind walking in her path threatens the disintegration of families and the saturation of women with ideas far from their freedom.

Therefore, during and after Johnny Depp's court victory, many publications appeared on social media revealing that many women were exploiting the issue of feminism and weakness, as well as releasing crocodile tears (a term that refers to the false representation of crying) to mobilize advocacy against the man, which caused the destruction of many families and their stability, without going to court.

Here, some argue the work of feminist organizations and assert that if their role is limited to educating and empowering women with their natural rights, family life will become right.

However, the programs of these organizations are mostly aimed at separating spouses and distorting some societies that forbid some foreign and religiously pariah cultures.

Black Day

That is why anti-feminists warn against the attempt of these associations to promote a compromise between men and women in everything, without taking into account the nature of some societies, such as Islamic ones, which follow the constants of their status and Islamic law.

In addition, the feminist organizations that trade in the issue of women and believe their narrative against violence just because they narrated it on their part, reveal feminism's tampering with women and turning them into a cheap tool of blackmail.

In the sense that a woman, according to the logic of feminism, only needs to publicly accuse a man of anything in order to discredit him, to gain support from everyone without evidence and proof, even if the woman is the aggressor.

That is why some went on to say: “Johnny-Amber’s trial gave a lesson for not believing the campaigns promoted by some feminists without evidence, claiming that they are defending the victim or the oppressed.”

In this context, writer and researcher Ahmed Daadoush considered that “Johnny-Amber’s trial is a black day in the history of feminism, and a day of consolation for all its followers.”

He added in a post on his Facebook page: “Feminism planted in the minds of women the idea that the right is always with the woman, just because she was born a female. However, when the opposite appeared during Johnny and Amber’s trial sessions, they must follow another strategy of injustice and crying, which is accusing the whole country of injustice, and perhaps the whole people.”

He added, “Some friends told me that Muslim feminists and their male feminist friends were also quick to support Amber since the start of the cause, on the basis of the same rule that women are always right. I don't know what their position is after leaked recordings of her threatening Johnny Depp that the world will not believe him.”

Daadoush pointed out that “Amber was certain that the judiciary, the media, and the entire system would stand with her. Indeed, everyone supported her at first, until she destroyed her ex-husband's professional reputation. Perhaps it did not occur to her that her opponent would survive this difficult war to the end.”

In sum, the American actress was not alone in losing a court battle with her ex-husband. Rather, feminist organizations received a similar blow with her, which proved that she had lined up without evidence with the media support she received and through which she promoted her ideas.

Many believe that the exposure of Amber's deception may pave the way for feminist organizations to reconsider many of the issues they are defending blindly, the first of which is the attempt to legalize homosexuality by force of law.
