Palestinian and Arab activists and human rights organizations launched a campaign to demand the release of the detainee Anhar Al-Deek, the ninth-month pregnant mother, in order to give birth to her newborn outside Israeli Jails.

The Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission, the Prisoners’ Committee, the National and Islamic Forces, and all the institutions working in the field of prisoners cooperate with the organizations to free this hopeless mother through interactions on social media under several hashtags, most notably #SaveAnhar, #SaveAnharAldeek, and #FreeAnhar.

Arrest of Mothers

The Israeli occupation authorities continue their war crimes. 40 Palestinian women are detained in their prisons, including 10 mothers, and a ninth-month pregnant woman Anhar al-Deek, who may give birth at any moment. Mothers in Israeli Jails are subjected to all kinds of abuse and torture. The number of wounded female prisoners in Israeli prisons is up to 8, including Israa Jaabis, who suffers from severe burns to her body.

Female prisoners are subjected to all kinds of abuse and torture during arrests from homes, in detention and investigation centers, and when they are detained in prisons as well.

The forms of torture include shooting them during arrests, checking them while they are naked, holding them in cells unfit for living, and do investigations with physical and psychological torture.

Women in Israeli prisons suffer from medical negligence, and they are deprived from open family visits and the embracing of their children like Anhar al-Deek, the ninth-month pregnant woman who is threatened to give birth to her second child in Israeli jail amid total medical recklessness. Hend Khoudary, the Palestinian activist, said on twitter that Anhar is so afraid of this horrifying experience.

Three female prisoners are in administrative detention, without charge or trial, among 40 female prisoners. The number of Israeli arrests of Palestinian women since the occupation has exceeded 10,000, including 900 cases from 2015 until the end of January 2021.

“Save Me!”

Anhar al-Deek, 25, was arrested five months ago from the town of Kafr Nima, west of Ramallah, last March by the Israeli Occupation. Anhar, this Palestinian mother will give birth in Israeli jails at any moment.

Miral, an activist on twitter, said that “Anhar was tortured and now suffers from depression, and she will give birth in really bad conditions while being shackled. “

Being afraid of what will happen to her and her baby, Quds News Network delivers on twitter Anhar’s letter that she wrote in her cell. The ninth-month pregnant mother said that she missed her daughter very much. She is really afraid of giving birth to her second baby in Israeli jails as she has no confidence in the medical cadre of the occupation. She cannot believe that her baby will open his eyes in prison.

The writer and researcher Mariem Bargouthi said on twitter that the 25-year-old pregnant is being politically detained in Israeli's military prisons known for their sexual abuse, il-treatment and torture and demanded to release this mother.

Protests and Solidarity

The activists expressed their solidarity with Anhar and their anger at the international communities that ignore the rights of Palestinian female prisoners and what they suffer in the occupation prisons, as well as their unlawful detention. The activists demanded the release of Anhar because of her health and the approaching date of her birth.

Quds News Network posted on twitter Palestinians demonstrate in various cities of the West Bank in solidarity with this detained mother and demand her release, so that she can give birth to her child outside prison, as other mothers do.
