The Turkish website "Muslim Port" believes that the whole world suffered from two viruses in April and May 2021, one of them is COVID-19, and the other is the “Israeli Zionism” virus.

The website said in an article by the head of the International Social, Political and Sectoral Research Platform (USSAP), Ismail Mansur Ozdemir: “Israel was so disturbed by the Palestinian elections that were scheduled to take place in May to the extent that it strived to do what it had to do to cancel the elections, so much so that it left no vielness undone in Ramadan.”

Israel Losing Control

Ozdemir explained: “But what caused Israel to lose control? This lies in its trauma. I have seen this in its people who exhibit extremist behavior and suffer from deep security and stability problems, and in their unhealthy system along with a state of social chaos that shows itself clearly.”

But he added: “The real problem for Israel lies in itself. The psychological disturbance that emerges in its historical story is the strongest evidence for that.”

He continues: “I asked a government official about the ongoing state of turmoil, anxiety and unhappiness that surrounds them, and his answer was that ‘life in Israel is led by fears.’”

Ozdemir adds: “There are kinds of fears that if it were to control people and society, extremist and anarchist behaviors will increase, causing matters to get out of control consequently. There is no need for a reason for fear to spread, as people may become captive to the fear they generated themselves.”

This fear in Israel makes the state lose its cohesion and security, especially when the brave stance of Palestinian youth is added to the picture, according to the author.

He further stated: “Israel has not been able to provide a model for a social system in light of the diversity of the origins of the Jews who immigrated from all over the world.

“There are structural problems in its system due to its ignorance of how to integrate Jews from Eastern Europe, Southern Europe, or Russia into a social system. Therefore, it finds itself forced to rely on spreading fear in society to keep it united and assembled.”

And he adds: “The political elite seeks to exploit politics as is the case in any void and unjust system, which in turn feeds this fear, especially in the presence of very important structural problems in Jewish religiosity.”

Given its differences, it is not possible to propose a completely satisfactory model of religiosity, which would push the people to profound atheism or non believing, and push the state to seek to create a psychological effect similar to that of the Crusades.

The writer explained that “the Zionist campaign in the Palestinian territories complements this chaotic picture. It pledges to its soldiers various promises during the occupation of Palestine, yet fear could always be seen on the faces of its soldiers.”

This is because he who did not fight in his life will have great fears, which will lead him to commit grave mistakes, like a man who has lost his path and is trying to get out of the situation by any means possible, even if it was with a stab that he instilled in the heart of someone, which represents the current position of Israel, according to what the writer sees.

And he continues: “Therefore, the scene of a professional soldier, who is unable to stand in front of young children in Jerusalem, has become a picture we are used to.”

While the image of the angry and brave youth in front of the soldiers protected in their military uniforms does not only spread terror in the hearts of the soldiers there, but also in the hearts of the Zionists around the world, he said.

According to Ozdemir, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas signed a decree on January 15 to hold parliamentary elections on May 22, presidential elections on July 31, and elections to the Palestinian National Council on August 31 in the Palestinian territories occupied by Israel.

This took place in the wake of the parties’ signing of the Code of Honor in Cairo, with the efforts of the groups in Palestine, in addition to the special efforts of Turkey, Egypt and Qatar.

Ozdemir says: “We had previously said that Israel might use its efforts to manipulate the electoral process with the approaching elections due to its terrorist and intelligence operations, but Tel Aviv launched a comprehensive and systematic attack.

“We said that Israel launching an attack on Gaza for no valid reason would be a fitting move of its status, and so it did.”

He explains: “First, it systematically attacked the young men who were praying in the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Then they carried out violations that would disturb the Muslim people there, and burned Muslim agricultural lands, in addition to olive trees that had aged for a hundred years, just to bomb Gaza at the end of Ramadan, and arrest Hamas candidates for no reason.

“In addition to Israel’s pressure, Mahmoud Abbas, who saw in the opinion polls that he would lose the elections, betrayed the Code of Honor unilaterally and canceled the elections in a disgraceful way. I believe that the elections were the main reason behind the Israeli escalation during the month of Ramadan. A wave of violence was sufficient to cancel the elections,” proceeded the Turkish writer.

The cause of this violence can be summed up in Israel’s loss of control and its attempt to cover up the electoral process (fear that Hamas will gain power). And we can add the political tension in Israel to that.

Ozdemir continued saying: “This escalation can be considered an electoral investment by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who tyrannized in his regime and built his presence on the occupation and proceeding tension.”

Global Psychological Warfare

Ozdemir added: “Here, a brief analysis of the Israeli violence policy should be made: part of it targets Muslims around the world, since the escalation takes place at certain times, especially during Ramadan.

“While it aims to break the endurance of the Palestinians and make the systematic violence a given in their lives, on the other hand, it aims to convince Muslims of their weakness and surrender them to their helplessness.”

And he adds: “It is thus waging a psychological war on the global level, and when analyzing the data for Muslims on social media, the number of those affected by this war appears even among those who have a high level of awareness, let alone the narrow minded, in addition to the increasing number of people who express that they see no point from resistance and opposition to this unjust system, all because it does not have any effect in the countries in which they live.”

Although there are those who are sincere to the Palestinian Cause, there are those who turned—without realizing it—into puppets that serve Zionism by ignoring the efforts and feelings of others, criticizing the efforts of individuals and institutions, and asking them to do more under the pretext of a political and insincere pretense of interest in the issue, the writer notes.

And he adds: “We must not forget that the Zionist aggression is not new, but rather dates back to centuries, as Israel harnesses its systems and institutions for systematic hostility.

“Therefore, it can be said that this war transcends history and place, and it is a war fought in the mind, heart, body, home, living, surroundings and state of every Muslim. Moreover, this war is not only a war between the Palestinian people and Israel, but it is also the longest war in human history,” Ozdemir stated.

The Turkish writer further said that “individual awareness constitutes the most important stage of this war. Whoever feels the pain of being away from Jerusalem, exerts their efforts to support it and declare their opposition to injustice, or keep Palestine in their prayers, has occupied a place in this war of consciousness and strengthened societal unison.

“But it would be a mistake for a Muslim to see that his undertaking of this true—and humble—jihad [struggle] is everything.”

Ozdemir explained that “this story of awareness must grow in different forefronts, to gain meaning and depth by turning it into state politics after its seeds were sown into the individual and grown through society.”

Slogans, high-spirited songs of the revolution, social media posts, and hashtags stand out as invaluable elements of this school of awareness.

This is the strongest warfare step against the psychological war that Zionism wages on us, and the psychological state in which it is trying to besiege us, and it is wrong and shameful to underestimate or despise this.

Referring to the progress of informatics, Ozdemir points out, saying: “We are now watching the Israeli aggression live from our homes, after we used to receive its news on the newspaper the next day. This is important in terms of getting information and news directly to take a unified position towards it. And Palestinian youth are good at this.”

He explains: “The Israeli attacks that were launched on the Al-Aqsa Mosque during Ramadan were broadcasted to the whole world in details, to the point where there is no need for explanation or comment, especially since Israel, which is preventing Hamas from assuming international roles by declaring it a terrorist, especially in the elections, has set restrictions on raising the issue at the global level. Hence, support from other countries is required.”

International legislation and diplomatic moves are the main steps of this process.

The writer says: “Muslim presidents, policymakers, political figures, parties, and ministers cannot be content with such emotional behaviors and modest individual steps. They are obligated to use and harness all the capabilities that their role gives them effectively.”

Andding: “And in this context, Turkey is the most important country that protects the Palestinian people and raises the issue on the international scene to deal with Israeli brutality.”

Turkey has always believed in the Palestinian cause, and it should be so, “since there is a religious, historical, social, and cultural aspect that connects Turkey and Palestine. And although we are not in an ideal position in terms of our resources and capabilities, Palestine is a priority for Turkish foreign policy,” Ozdemir said.

And he continues: “Turkey has made important efforts, especially with regard to the Palestinian elections, to provide an environment of trust between the Palestinian parties.

The meeting of Hamas and Fatah leaders in Istanbul on September 22, 2020, was one of the most important meetings that influenced the election decision.

With the mediation of Turkey, the parties have withdrawn from the issues they insist on. For example, Fatah has given up its insistence on holding parliamentary and presidential elections by a one-year difference, while Hamas has abandoned its insistence on holding both elections together.”

With Turkey’s efforts, the parties agreed on a common electoral schedule. Besides Turkey, Egypt and Qatar have also made significant contributions to the process.

Egypt called on the parties to its country to sign the final agreement. While Turkey, after canceling the elections, demonstrated the pressure exerted by Israel to cancel the elections with official documents, according to the author.

Turkey’s Responsibility

“The Turkish Foreign Ministry showed a dynamic position on the Palestininian issue, especially in the elections,” says Ozdemir.

Continuing: “And here, it is very important to put forward the many announcements and notes that were published in the last ten days after the elections were canceled, as these data contain valuable information.”

He adds: “In the margins of the memorandum on Palestinian elections No. 166, April 30, 2021, it was said that ‘unfortunately, we learned that, as a result of yesterday’s meeting with the participation of Palestinian groups, it was decided to postpone the parliamentary and presidential elections in Palestine, which were scheduled for the first time since 2006.’”

He thus followed: “It seems that the main reason that pushed the Palestinian parties to take such a decision is that Israel did not respond to the Palestinian Authority’s request to hold elections, especially in East Jerusalem, and did not allow an election campaign to take place.”

He concluded: “We call on the government of ‘Israel’ to end its obstructive stand by complying with the provisions of the 1995 Oslo Interim Agreement to ensure that Palestinian elections are held as soon as possible.”

The Turkish writer continued: “On the other hand, we hope that the decision to postpone the elections will not negatively affect the reconciliation process between the Palestinians, to which our country attaches great importance, and we encourage all Palestinian parties to continue to strive for unity and reconciliation.”

The writer further comments: “This text is very valuable from a diplomatic point of view. It drew attention to the fact that Israel is the main beneficiary of canceling the elections.”

The settling of the issue with the Oslo Accords represents a step taken towards compliance with and follow-up of international law. However, there are some steps that fall on the shoulders of both parties, according to what Ozdemir sees.

Since the issue has become very clear, it must be followed up at the international level, instead of being restricted to and dealing with it as an internal Palestinian issue.

“Besides Abbas, Hamas should be more active in this regard,” he says. “International organizations have to take advantage of Turkish support, and Turkey should provide the guidance and support in this regard, and ensure that the process turns into a binding international decision for elections to be held.”

And he continues: “There is another memorandum issued on May 6, 2021, Margin 179, and it is related to Israel’s illegal activities and expresses it very clearly:

‘Despite all calls from the international community, Israel continues to expand illegal settlements in the West Bank and Jerusalem, in addition to its systematic attempts to evacuate Palestinians living in the occupied territories through its decisions on demolition and confiscation.

‘In this context, we are deeply concerned about the recent approval of a plan to build 540 new settlements in Har Homa, southeast of Jerusalem, the orders to evacuate the homes of Palestinian families in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of the city, and the attempts to legalize small, unauthorized settlements that are illegal under Israeli law as well.

‘Israel’s policies, which violate international law, remain the biggest obstacle to the two-state solution. We call on responsible members of the international community to respond more forcefully to these illegal practices.’”

The author stressed: “But more important is the concrete steps that must be taken in the next stage.”

It is necessary to take legal action with the attorneys who will be appointed to make binding decisions in the European Court of Human Rights and the UN Security Council. For these legal measures and results to become the legitimate justification for political, diplomatic and security international positions.

He added: “There are also roles that the Palestinian side and institutions in Turkey must assume. Especially since the formation of a technical council based on public diplomacy institutions and real estate records in Turkey and Palestine which will be of great value in this context. The cases of occupied and usurped lands should be discussed in international courts.”

In this framework, the declaration made on May 7, 2021, number 181, is considered valuable and important. It is a foreign policy text that discusses the Israeli security forces’ attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The following statement read: “We strongly condemn the attacks launched by the Israeli security forces on Palestinian worshipers in Al-Aqsa Mosque, which resulted in the injury of many Palestinian civilians.”

It further stated: “We call on the government of Israel, which caused the outbreak of the events tonight by targeting the freedom of worship of the Palestinian people and the Temple Mount during the month of Ramadan, to put an end to its provocative and aggressive stance as soon as possible, and we call on it to be rational.”

The Turkish Foreign Minister discussed with the Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad Al-Maliki, who visited Turkey today at the invitation of our minister, “the steps that can be taken at the international level, and that Turkey will continue to support the just cause of the Palestinian people,” said Ozdemir.

Proposals for Measures

Thus, Ozdemir says, some measures should be taken as soon as possible.

The first is to overcome the anti-democratic atmosphere that Israel created in Palestine by holding Palestinian elections with the presence of international observers.

Technical, diplomatic and legal studies should be conducted to ensure that international organizations take a decision in this regard. I think that for an international delegation led by Turkey to monitor and follow up the electoral process in all its dimensions would be a tangible step, he says.

And he continues: “As for the second is to call on the Israeli aggression on Palestinian property to international courts, it is clear that recent attempts to legalize small unauthorized settlements are illegal, even under Israeli law itself.”

And he added: “The Palestinian people are powerless before the power of the Zionist state. It is incumbent upon the Palestinian state to defend the rights of its citizens in international courts.”

He explained: “Here, Turkey should contribute to the transfer of cases and provide legal assistance in this regard. This does not fall on the responsibility of our state only.

“Rather, it should be emphasized that the political structures, organizations, associations, and humanitarian organizations that work to distribute dates and breakfasts in Jerusalem with the intention of serving them, will also serve Jerusalem by directing it to such areas as well.”

And if these organizations are satisfied with only distributing food believing that they are taking concrete steps, this is either because they are not aware of the Zionist plans or because they pretend they are not, according to what the Turkish writer sees.

And he added: “Israel lost control of the events that began with the elections and ended with violence. And it exposed itself in public. It was totally caught red-handed.”

Events also cause inconvenience in all parts of the world, since Jerusalem has common meanings for all of humanity. That is why there must be a global solution to the Israeli problem of violence, because of the irreparable and irrecoverable damage it may cause.

He continued, saying: “The solution lies in the establishment of the ‘International Quds Security and Peace Force,’ which is the third step.”

It is believed that “Israel threatens the security of its society, the Palestinian people and all nations that visit the region, while this common treasure of mankind must be safe.”

Therefore, he believes that “the UN Security Council must be asked to handle the issue and monitor it, as the presence of a multinational unit like itself in Palestine will facilitate the process and control the aggressive tendencies of Israel in the region.”

It is worth noting that Turkey has deep experience in the matter and has previously succeeded in similar missions abroad. It has managed to control violence through peacekeepers, especially in Bosnia, Cyprus, Kosovo, Rwanda and Afghanistan, and many others like it.

Countries such as Pakistan, Bosnia, Qatar, Malaysia and Azerbaijan could also contribute to the process. It is also within possibilities to obtain military support from some countries that do not have a bad reputation in their foreign mandates and have not betrayed their missions.

For example, the Netherlands can never be one of these countries, due to its well-known history in Rwanda and Bosnia, the author notes.

Ozdemir concludes his article by confirming: “May— rather indeed should the Turkish efforts yield tangible results. The conditions are favorable and the Israeli side has shown its weaknesses. What needs to be done is to make commitments. And the ‘International Quds Security and Peace Force’ is the most important organization at this stage.

He says: “As it seems—led by Turkey—the only solution to eliminate violence of the Israeli terrorism in Palestine.

“Turkey should raise this issue with all its capabilities, and the Palestinian side should make efforts to achieve it. There is no better time and more legitimate ground than now,” Ozdemir concluded.
