A Turkish newspaper shed light on the suffering of Muslims in France, by addressing persons who suffered from harassment and persecution after being convinced and converted to Islam.

The newspaper "Star" published an article by the writer Jamal Aydin in which he said: "The author of the book The Smiling Face of Islam was among those who succeeded in this difficult task, as it was Ms. Eva de Vetray Mairowicz, who changed her name to Eve after her conversion to Islam and was buried in Öçler cemetery in the Turkish city of Konya, She has endured with open heart what happened to her children after her conversion to Islam.

He added, "Can you imagine that children disavow their mother just because she converted to Islam, and stop contacting her ?!"

He continued: "This is the true faith... to be able to let go everything and everyone for the sake of Islam, as well as the loss of your closest friends !.

Long Trip

According to Aiden, "We have reached the 22nd anniversary of the end of Eve's march to God. On July 24, 1999, "Lady Eve departed from the mortal world to the eternal world, and met her Lord, whom she truly loved."

He added, "Eva de Vetrae Mairovic was not a person like us who converted to Islam without paying the price or making the slightest effort for it. At university, I became a professor.

He continued, "While she was working as director of the National Research Center - the highest scientific body in France - the son of the Pakistani national poet, Muhammad Ikbal, presented her with an author of his father's books in English, and while she was reading the book, the name of Maulana Jalaluddin Al-Rumi caught her attention between the lines."

Ikbal was talking about Maulana Rumi with great praise that made her want to know more about him, and although she could not know enough because his works were not translated, Maulana's sayings about Islam, which occupied a place in Ikbal's book, prompted her to search for Islam.

Aiden added: "And while she was about to convert to Islam, she checked herself. It was not for all the two billion Christians to be wrong and she is right, so she decided to learn Christianity well, so she joined the famous Sorbonne University and listened to the lectures of a well-known professor explaining Christianity for three years".

He added, "She also met an orientalist such as Louis Massignon, who translated the poems of Al-Hallaj and has studies on Islam, and they discussed for a long time."

He continued: "However, Christianity is no longer satisfactory to her, so one night she prayed to her Lord in humbleness to light her path and guide her to the way. The answer that cooled her eyes, she saw what the sleeper saw as a gravestone, and when she got closer she saw that it was a gravestone placed for the graves of Muslims in which her name Eve was written, and she heard a voice saying :You will die as a Muslim.

Eve did not waste time learning Arabic because it is the language of the Qur’an and Persian because it is the language of Mawlana’s books, and she learned both within three years despite her advanced age..

Aydin said: "Eve was invited to Islamic countries, gave conferences in universities, spoke about Islam on French radio stations, and wrote many books and articles, especially (The Smiling Face of Islam) and (The Spirit of Prayer), which were among the best-selling books. She has also helped tens of thousands of people become Muslims.

Hostility

Aydin continued: "It is really difficult to be a Muslim in the West, where the world is Christian . From time to time I met with French who converted to Islam, whether it was in Paris or in Istanbul, and they said that they pray secretly even in their homes and from their parents, and that they perform Friday prayers in Mosques far from their area of residence.

He added: "One of these young men told me once that a woman in one of the cities of France told her husband that their daughter had fallen in love with a Muslim young man and that she was preparing to convert to Islam, the father had gone crazy knowing this, he takes his gun immediately and runs towards the window, and when the woman asked her husband what he wanted to do , he said: I will kill the first Muslim to cross the street !

He added, "There are also professors who converted to Islam in French universities, but they have to hide their Islamic identity for fear of society."

Aiden stated: "I once saw in a Paris bookstore a book called (A Traveler to the Eternal World) by René Rutte. Under the title were the following phrases: (Rebellions and poems in search of God). Below that was written (Introduced to him: Jacob). Roti) in small letters. I picked it up and looked at it. When I saw a talk about Islam in it, I bought it right away."

He continued, "When I searched more, I learned the following: Jacques Rutte, whose name became Jacob Rutte after his conversion to Islam, was born on March 17, 1937 in the Seine-Marne region, on the outskirts of Paris as a member of a family famous for art and industry, his father was Oscar Rutte. The famous person who engraved the image of the woman in the old French franc coin, who died in 1911.

The family of Jacob Ruti converted to Islam a year before his birth, with the encouragement of the great thinker René Guénon, so the Ruti family is considered one of the first families of French origin to convert to Islam, according to the Turkish writer.

Aiden said: "I could not stop my tears while reading the following lines from the book: My father had an overwhelming desire to recite the call to prayer at home when it was time for prayer, but he would not be able to, for fear of being heard by the neighbors."

He added, "So he would go to the depths of a nearby orchard sometimes, and call to prayer loudly there, where only birds, trees and nature would hear him, to choke with his tears and sorrows while raising the call to prayer. Upon his return, my mother felt the moral reassurance and the deep peace surrounding him."

He added: "I cannot describe what I felt when I read the following lines from the same book: My deceased mother was reading the Qur'an while she passed her right index finger over the verses, and one day I saw my mother who opened the Qur'an in front of her with a bright face, but motionless. when I touched her, I knew that she died ."

He continued: "I looked where her forefinger stopped, it was the end of the tenth verse of the tenth surah, Surat Yunus, in which it came: And their last claim is that praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds."

Aiden concluded his article by saying: "I saw that Jacob Rutte has beautiful books that address all classes in France and I was very happy, and here are the names of some of them: The Purpose of Islam, a small Islamic dictionary for those who put their hope in God, answers to children's questions, the pigeon song, an explanation of the month of Ramadan for children, The Heavenly Horse, Faithful and Trustworthy, The Two Testimonies, Guide to Hajj and Umrah.

He continued: "They have preceded us, and perhaps they will enter Paradise without reckoning, but what will our answer be when we  ask about what we have done for the sake of God, this is the question. Peace be upon hearts burned with the love of striving for the sake of God after they were liberated from the trap of worshiping money and prestige."
